Spelling Check Excel Mac
On the word menu click preferences spelling grammar.
Spelling check excel mac. Check spelling and correct automatically with autocorrect options. Then run spell check as normal. When it s enabled you ll see a checkmark next to this option on the menu.
Click check spelling while typing on the menu. By default excel only looks at a single sheet when checking spelling. Choose edit spelling and grammar show spelling and grammar from the edit menu at the top of your screen.
Once found you can either ignore once ignore all add new words to your dictionary or change based on suggestion. In the spelling grammar dialog box under spelling check or clear the check spelling as you type box. Under grammar check or clear the check grammar as you type box.
When this option is enabled your mac automatically checks your spelling as you type in this app and highlights misspelled words. In the review tab there is an option spelling as shown in the image. In some apps you can also enable check spelling while typing and correct spelling automatically here.

Clicking this option will initiate the spell checking. If you select a single cell for spell check excel checks the entire worksheet including the comments page headers footers and graphics. To spell check a worksheet click the tab at the bottom of the screen for the worksheet on which you want to run the spell check.
