Spell Check Disabled In Word Document
On the word menu click preferences spelling grammar.

Word may be set to the wrong proofing language causing it to miss errors. At the bottom of the word options dialog box click the drop down arrow under manage change the selection from com add ins to disabled items and then click go. Turn on or off automatic spelling and grammar checking.
Uncheck the check spelling as you type box to disable spell checking. From the review tab click check document. Check word s proofing language.
